An opening narrative on the show goes:

“From the thing itself,
the pleasure taken in getting to the bottom of the matter,
the concentration,
the intensity of dealing with artistic questions and issues,
the artist Werner Haypeter, who works in Düsseldorf, and
the American Hadi Tabatabai sensed a common attitude when they first met at our gallery two years ago.”

“Both artists develop their sculptural objects and works on paper from an immanent logic, employing a distinctive language of forms that stems from concrete art. They share a mutual interest in the line, surface, and treatment of space, though their implementations are then completely different. Time after time, Werner Haypeter, uses industrially developed materials, whereas Hadi Tabatabai’s preferred materials include paper, cardboard, and threads.

“The curiosity for solutions reached by the respective other provided the decisive impulse for initiating this exhibition.”

The exhibition will open with an Introduction by Dr Maria Müller-Schareck, Curator Kunstsammlung NRW, Düsseldorf. kunstgaleriebonn GmbH & Co. KG·Villa Faupel·Lotharstr. 106·D-53115 Bonn. Buy a link on this page
