Edge of Arabia and Side by Side Gallery are showing the first major solo exhibition of Saudi artist, Abdulnasser Gharem, outside of the Gulf region 9 October- 8 November 2013.

Iconic past works by Gharem are offered alongside several new bodies of work, giving audiences in the UK the first opportunity to experience the full scope of his artistic practice. A pioneer of performance art in Saudi Arabia and a co-founder of Edge of Arabia, Gharem is recognised as one of a handful of influential pioneers who have changed the course of artistic practice and dialogue, during a period of enormous change and historical importance in the kingdom. The exhibition is presented in partnership with Ayyam Gallery (Beirut, Damascus, Dubai, Jeddah, London) and Side by Side Gallery (Berlin).
