All set for London’s 20|21 Art Fair, 2014

The next 20|21 International Art Fair will take place in the prestigious and historic galleries of the Royal College of Art in Kensington Gore, London SW7, from 15 to 18 May 2014, the organisers announced.

Now in its eighth year, the fair moved from February to May in 2013, a change which was popular with both visitors and exhibitors.

On show will be modern and contemporary art from Britain and around the world. There are a number of dealers who specialise in work from Japan, India, Russia, France, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and Morocco plus art from a host of other countries, making a truly eclectic selection.

The ‘boutique’ fair has carved out a special place in the arts calendar. International names include Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Braque, Modigliani, Chagall (all works on paper), plus British 20th century favourites such as Henry Moore, David Hockney, Peter Blake, Grayson Perry and Damien Hirst, together with many emerging and less well known artists whose work will be there to be discovered and appreciated. An added attraction is a section devoted to works by the Royal College of Art’s renowned Printmaking Department.
The 60 dealers, most of whom are based in the UK, will offer works in various media including oils, original prints, watercolour, drawings, collage, some photography and sculpture, ranging in period from 1900 to the present day. The manageable size, variety of work on view, coupled with a broad price range, accounts for the fair’s popularity with visitors and dealers alike.

‘The fair seems to go from strength to strength. We were delighted that the date change proved popular; the art fair calendar is less crowded in May and the fair can herald the start of the summer season,’ say the organisers, Gay Hutson and Angela Wynn, who also run the successful 20|21 British Art Fair each September at the same venue.

London, in particular Central London, is more cosmopolitan than ever making an event like the 20|21 International Art Fair a popular choice.
