Ai Weiwei: According to What? opens Aug. 17 at The Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto.
Curated by Mami Kataoka, the chief curator of the Mori Art Museum (MAM) in Tokyo, Ai Weiwei: According to What? offers work from the mid-1990s to the present.
The exhibition follows a successful run at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC and at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. After its run at the AGO, Ai Weiwei: According to What? will be presented at Miami’s Pérez Art Museum and the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
